Glazed Salmon

August 20, 2026 Richard Freyermuth

Sticky Glazed Salmon

Glazed Salmon

This Recipe Uses:
Richard’s Famous Original Garlic Salt

Sweet, savory, and irresistibly sticky! This easy salmon is coated in a glossy honey-garlic glaze that caramelizes beautifully as it cooks. It’s an easy weeknight dinner that tastes special enough for company.

Serves 4

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets, 5–6 oz. each
1/3 cup honey
2 Tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce
1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 Tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. Richard’s Famous Original Garlic Salt, or to taste
1/2 tsp. Dijon mustard
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 Tbsp. olive oil
Sliced green onions, optional
Lemon wedges, for serving

Directions

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, Dijon mustard and Richard’s Famous Original Garlic Salt until well combined.

Pat the salmon fillets dry and season lightly with freshly ground black pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Add the salmon and sear for about 3 minutes, or until nicely browned. Turn the salmon over and reduce the heat to medium.

Add the butter to the skillet. Once melted, pour the honey-garlic mixture around and over the salmon. Allow the sauce to gently bubble for 2–3 minutes, repeatedly spooning the glaze over the salmon as it cooks. The sauce will begin to reduce and become thick, shiny and sticky.

Continue cooking until the salmon is cooked to your liking. If the fillets are especially thick, finish them for a few minutes in a 400°F oven.

Spoon plenty of the warm honey-garlic glaze over each salmon fillet. Garnish with sliced green onions, if desired, and serve with fresh lemon wedges.

Fred’s Tip: Don’t walk away once you add the glaze! Honey can go from beautifully caramelized to burned quickly. Keep the heat moderate and keep spooning that delicious sauce over the salmon.
