3. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small files or pieces of text stored on a device when a visitor accesses a website.

Necessary Cookies

Squarespace uses necessary cookies to securely provide the Website and enable features such as navigation, shopping carts, checkout, customer accounts, fraud prevention, and security. These cookies are required for the Website to function and cannot be disabled through our Website settings.

Analytics and Performance Cookies

Squarespace may use analytics and performance cookies to help us understand traffic, activity, and performance, including visits, traffic sources, pages viewed, interactions, and cart activity. Where our cookie banner offers a choice, these nonessential cookies are used according to the selection you make.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to these signals, the Website does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals. We will honor legally required browser-based opt-out preference signals, such as Global Privacy Control, when applicable to our data practices and required by law. As described below, Richard’s Famous does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Third-Party Collection Across Websites

Squarespace and other service providers may collect information about your interactions with the Website and may receive information from your browser or device. Some third parties may be able to recognize a browser or device across different websites or services, depending on their technologies and your settings. Their collection and use of information are governed by their own privacy policies. We do not currently use Meta Pixel or another advertising pixel to track visitors across websites for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this policy:

·       Website and commerce providers, including Squarespace, which hosts and operates the Website, store, analytics, customer-account, form, invoicing, and email-marketing functions.

·       Payment, tax, and fraud-prevention providers, including Squarespace Payments, Stripe, and Sift.

·       Shipping carriers and fulfillment-related providers that need information to deliver orders.

·       Professional advisers and business-service providers, such as accountants, attorneys, insurers, and information-technology providers, when reasonably necessary.

·       Government authorities, regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, the Website, customers, or the public.

·       A successor or potential successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not permit service providers to use personal information for purposes unrelated to the services they provide to us, except as permitted or required by law and their applicable terms and privacy policies.

5. Sale or Sharing of Personal Information

Richard’s Famous does not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act. We also do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

If our practices change, we will update this policy and provide any notices, links, preference signals, or opt-out methods required by applicable law before engaging in the new practice.

6. Email Communications

If you join our email list, we may use Squarespace Email Campaigns to send recipes, product information, company news, and occasional offers. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or contacting us at info@RichardsFamous.com.

Unsubscribing from marketing emails will not stop transactional or service communications that are necessary for an order, payment, shipment, customer account, security matter, or response to your request.

7. Fonts and Embedded Services

The Website may use Google Fonts and Adobe Fonts to display text. When fonts are served by those providers, they may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser, device, and the page being viewed. The Website may also contain links to social-media or other third-party services. If we add embedded videos, maps, social widgets, advertising pixels, or other integrations, those services may collect information according to their own privacy policies and the choices available through our cookie banner or their services.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing products and services, maintaining customer accounts, honoring email preferences, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, and satisfying tax, accounting, recordkeeping, and other legal obligations. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the nature of our relationship with you, legal requirements, and operational needs. When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete it, de-identify it, or retain it as required or permitted by law.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. We also rely on the security measures provided by Squarespace and our payment and service providers. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Choices and Privacy Requests

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that we maintain about you, subject to applicable law and exceptions. You may also ask questions about our privacy practices or withdraw from marketing emails.

To submit a request, email info@RichardsFamous.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line, or write to the address in the Contact Us section below. Please describe your request and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant records. We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. We will use information submitted with a request only to verify and respond to that request, as permitted by law.

Depending on applicable law, we may deny or limit a request—for example, when information must be retained for an order, tax, fraud-prevention, legal, security, or recordkeeping purpose. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right provided by applicable law.

11. California Privacy Disclosures

California Online Privacy Protection Act

This policy identifies the categories of personally identifiable information we collect, the categories of third parties with whom we may disclose that information, how you may request review or correction, how we communicate material changes, the effective date, our response to Do Not Track signals, and whether other parties may collect information about online activities over time and across websites.

CCPA and CPRA

The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, applies only to businesses that meet statutory applicability requirements. To the extent these laws apply to Richard’s Famous and your personal information, California residents may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete certain personal information; to opt out of sale or sharing; to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information; and to be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising applicable rights. Requests may be submitted using the process in Section 10.

Richard’s Famous does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If a legally required opt-out method becomes applicable to our practices, we will provide it on the Website and honor qualifying opt-out preference signals as required by law.

California “Shine the Light”

California Civil Code section 1798.83 may permit California residents to request information regarding certain disclosures of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ direct-marketing purposes. Richard’s Famous does not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes as contemplated by that law.

12. Children’s Privacy

The Website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
